22A051 Discoverers by Jim Davies, 12/20/2022
Nobody ever discovered anything by staying safely within the limits of accepted wisdom. Discoverers are eccentric. Inventions and fresh understandings come only from those who "Question Authority" and dive off the deep end on their own. As George Bernard Shaw well put it:
Such eccentric explorers aren't always right, of course. Some, I suppose, never discover anything new of value. But they all try, and some do. That's how humans progress. Recently my attention was drawn to one Dr Russell Blaylock, whose Wiki bio is here. Notice its third sentence: "Blaylock has endorsed views inconsistent with the scientific consensus..." (oh, no!!) and in context that is certainly meant as a put-down; the bio was not written by a friend. That phrase is followed by an example of his eccentricity about excitotoxity, which I don't understand; whether he's right or wrong about that I've no idea. But he's exploring, thinking for himself. Good! Prof. Blaylock is a neurosurgeon, so is certainly no dummy; and by "endorsing views inconsistent with the scientific consensus" he proves himself an independent thinker, a follower of science over orthodoxy. Further on in the bio comes the clincher; regarding the recent Bogus Plague he is quoted as saying:
Elsewhere he's quoted as expanding on that: "The entire vaccine program is based on nonsense, fear and concocted fairy tales..." Dr Blaylock is by no means alone; as long ago as April 2020 I wrote about one of the world's most eminent microbiologists, Dr Sukharit Bhakdi, who was even then opposing those "fairy tales." But the German Chancellor did not respond to him, and sadly, most physicians have gone along instead with the Official Narrative, and even some of those unhappy with it have felt themselves unable to express opposition. A year or so ago I was consulting a cardiologist and asked whether he agreed with his hospital's policy to require masks. He replied "it doesn't matter what I think" - implying that no, he didn't agree - but didn't want to be quoted. A fat paycheck is a powerful motivator. But Dr Blaylock doesn't mind. What he said there about Covid and its fake vaccines is 100% in line with what these ZGBlogs have expressed; check in the archive for all or any that are marked with this "plague flag": He is a true credit to the medical profession. Some years ago "Saturday Night Live" featured an hilarious skit about Theodoric of York, Medieval Barber (and so, surgeon) - watch it here. It makes the point beautifully. To challenge orthodoxy is of course by no means sufficient, and may lead one to all manner of fruitless dead ends. But it's altogether necessary. |
